Man of Qi Gong – 4 week class (1 hour/week)
Will K. Wan, L.Ac., Dipl.O.M. (NCCAOM), MSOM is a graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon. His training is in Classical Chinese Medicine where the foundation of medicine is the practice of Qigong (Internal Alchemy Work) and Taijiquan (Greatest Expansion and Contracture).
Since 2001, Will Wan’s practices come directly from two Daoist masters, Master Wu Zhongxian, Master Wang Qingyu, and Dr. Heiner Fruehauf, who uphold traditional lineages from the ancient sages of China. The Traditional lineage system is important because there is a direct transmission from master to student through decades of practice.
The Lineages come from the following:
1) WuDang LongMen Pai 武当龙门派 (18th generation Mt. WuDang Dragon Gate tradition)
2) EMei ZhenGong 峨眉 真功 (8th generation Mt. EMei Shamanic tradition)
3) Jinjing Gong (Tendon and Channel Qigong) whose legendary origins go back to the 2nd-century monk Bodhidharma, who founded the Shaolin monastery and first introduced Buddhism to China.
In these 4 week series of classes, you will get to practice this ancient art of Qigong from the lineages outlined above. These Qigong movements with the breath offer benefits of ease, relaxation, and invigoration to the physical, mental/emotional and spiritual body.
Weeks 1-4 Qigong for Joint Health, Immune Health and Supporting Blood Circulation
Weeks 5-8 Qigong for Athletes (Invigorating the Blood, Tendons and Ligaments)
Weeks 9-12 Qigong for Cultivating the Mind, Body and Spirit (Internal Alchemy practices of sound tones).
