The Art of Raising Happy Children

Ioana Justina Iuga, MDiv., Dipl.Soc.Sc., CNSLR, ITTM certified clinician, holds a Master of Divinity in Buddhist Studies, and a Diploma in Social Science and Counseling Skills. She is a certified counselor while holding certificates in ADHD: Everyday strategies for elementary students; Medical Neuroscience; Living with Dementia: Impact on Individuals, Caregivers, Communities, and Societies; The clinical psychology of children and young adults; Morality of everyday life. Ioana is also an ITTM (Intergenerational Trauma Treatment Model) certified clinician. She has a long history of volunteering in the USA with Children’s Cancer Association, Sisters of the Road, Central City Concern, and in Romania, where she has volunteered with the National Institute of Neurology and Neurovascular Diseases in Bucharest. As a human being, she is socially proactive, fun, loving, highly independent, sometimes stubborn, intuitive with a wild imagination, and she speaks cat-neze 🙂

In today’s society, being a parent is a choice; a choice that brings along the responsibility to lovingly raise healthy children. Parents do want what is best for their kids, but is it enough? Please join me in this workshop to find out!

I will be teaching you about Deci and Ryan’s self-determination theory and its applicability within parental education, about children’s vital needs, and how you can fulfill them (you might be surprised at what they are. I will give you a hint: it’s not a tablet or video games) and about the five parental pathways specialists identified so far. If you know of a sixth one, I will be happy to hear it . You will also have the chance to identify your own as a means to know where you stand and where you’re heading!
