This is a class of art therapy where you will learn to create zendalas. While many people today know what a mandala is, very few know of zendalas and their role within a successful therapeutic approach. You will be briefly introduced to the notion of mandalas (in case you don’t already know what they are) as a transition to the main focus of this class, that is zendalas: what they are and how we can use them to balance and enrich our lives.
The class will focus on the process of making zendalas and on how this process applies to creating balanced relaxation in our lives.
We will not focus on the aesthetic and psychological fundamentals of making zendalas or on the technique of their creation. Drawing a zendala usually happens naturally and the artistic process of making it is a byproduct of an idea fueled by intuition & emotion. We draw zendalas as a valuable means to learn to relax when we understand that life is a mixture of events and it is up to us to balance them harmoniously.Â
This is the main idea of the class: to relax and create so that the impact of our zendala becomes beneficial in our comprehension that nothing is under full control and there is beauty in apparent chaos as well. Sounds complicated? Well, it’s not. It’s mostly lots of colors and fun.
Making zendalas is so much funnier (and more meaningful) if you do it with friends. So, please feel free to bring your friends in, and let’s roll zendalas together!
You will need lots of colors for this event!
